Campground

Camping is based on a "first come - first serve" philosophy. We do have s spacious campground at the hostel that is located right in our "Hostel Forest" between black spruce and cottonwood trees. The area provides plenty of shade to escape Alaska's summer heat and offers plenty of privacy.

We do not take reservations for the campground, so just come on by and choose your best spot. We always have room for tents on our big 3-acre property.

It costs $25 per person to camp at Sven's Basecamp. Every camper will have access to our big kitchen with all its kitchen equipment, free internet, bathrooms, coin-operated showers, and the whole outdoor Basecamp facility with Barbecue Grill and firepit access. We are not just a campground, we are an Outdoor experience !!
