Main office building

Planning your trip? Come to the office and find out where and what to expect out there in the Alaskan Bush. Running dogs, living in the bush and guiding trips all over Alaska has taught me a few things and sharing my own experiences with you will help getting you not only ready for any outdoor adventure but also will ensure you visit the parts of Alaska that are right for you.
Here you also get all the info you need to find out where the good restaurants are, the places to visit, which hotspots not to miss, what trips to book or simply finding out what’s happening in Fairbanks. Sven or his staff knows what’s going on in and around town and love to share their knowledge with you

Main Office

Wireless Internet

You might have been out of touch with your loved ones for a few days or even weeks. No worries, a wireless signal covers most of the property

Laundry, showers, bathroom

Since we are not hooked up to the city water system we encourage our guests to do laundry at B&C Laundromat. Should you want to have them washed here we can certainly do that for a charge of $12-16 depending on load size. There are 2 coin operated showers, 3 bathrooms and 2 male/female wash stalls with hairdryers at no charge.

Kitchen

In the kitchen you will find a big refrigerator with attached freezer, a microwave, an oven with a propane cooking stove and plenty of silverware, plates, pans and pots for your ultimate cooking experience, if you got what it takes to be a cook.

The Firepit!

Firepit / Barbecue Grill

Hand crafted benches and a metal fire pit with endless wood for everybody to use. Sit around a warming fire, exchange travel stories and travel plans with other adventurers from all over the world. Cook your own steak on a big barbecue and enjoy your food at the picnic table or the log swing.

Parking/How to get here

Should you arrive with your own car there’s a big parking lot and plenty of space for any size rig. We do not provide a shuttle service. If you arriving from the airport or train station, the best way to get here is by taxi. It is only about a 5 min drive and should only cost you between $10-15 per ride.

University Avenue is currently under construction and will be closed for the whole summer. You can easily get around it but please be aware that it will take you just a few minutes more than usual. Use Peger road to access the Basecamp on 3505 Davis Road.

The Fun Corner

What about a game of volleyball? a foosball match or a play of ping pong? Unleash the monster, release the energy and join in on the fun. Along with all the other activities we have planned for next summer you won’t get bored at Sven’s.
